Storefront Chef’s Kitchen in Brooklyn

Located at the crossroads of Greenpoint and East Williamsburg, Casa Umami is a two-level refined commercial space with premium amenities divided between a cellar and a storefront space, that elegantly combines its industrial and warm aspects.

Casa Umami (Storefront space)

The 1300 square-foot storefront space’s elegant concrete floors and prime marble are balanced by the outburst of sunlight welcomed in by countless 12’ high floor-to-ceiling windows, European oak paneling, and elegantly placed ambient lighting.

The fully-stocked storefront kitchen revolves around a U-shaped area with marble finishings that sits 15, and counts with four industrial stoves, two fridges, double sink, tasteful shelving, plenty of exposed and hidden storage, and clear tile backsplash for a perfect shoot backdrop.
With an open layout, 10′ high doors, and sophisticated column structures, Umami also has additional rolling tables and seating options, Sonos speakers throughout, and live plants, giving the space another layer of practicality and versatility for productions, showrooms, and all types of events. ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎

Premium Sound Attenuations

Built in a 2018 gravity-defying architectural marvel, the space counts with 10″ thick poured concrete walls, 12″ thick solid concrete slabs for the floor + rigid and batt insulation, and custom oversized double-glazed fenestration, making the sound perfect for all types of events, showrooms, and production shoots that need to record sound.

Pricing Disclaimer

The prices shown are our minimum before qualifying your reservation. Additional fees may apply once we have a full understanding of your project, such as: total number of attendees, start and end time of your reservation, vehicles involved (production), the amount of EQ to load in/out, etc. We will provide a quick questionnaire and a full quote before you book the space.

Cleaning Fee

We clean the space before and after each booking to guarantee the space is immaculate for you. Cleaning fees for this space start at $350/1-day booking and vary depending on whether you are booking an event, an offsite meeting, production, or showroom; guest and/or crew size, equipment loading in/out, and more.
Don’t worry, the full cleaning fee will be clearly stated before you book the space.

Casa Manager Fee

One of our selected expert Casa Managers, Cocoon’s official on-site reps, will be on-site - but out of your way - at all times to overview your booking. As experts in that venue and trained in your rental type, they will be your main POC, welcome you in the space, help you load in and out, set up, and guide you through the space in case you need any assistance. Fees start at $150/1-day booking.
